Vantage does the day-to-day whether or not you open the admin, across channels that live outside Shopify too, and hands you finished work to approve. If your whole store lives inside Shopify and you enjoy doing the daily work yourself, Shopify's own tools may be all you need.

Do I have to replatform or reinstall my theme?

No. Vantage connects to the store you already run. Your theme, your apps and your data stay where they are.

What permissions does it need?

Read access to your catalog and orders so drafts are grounded in real numbers, and write access only for the changes you approve. The scopes are shown before you connect.
